I will be in the hospital for four to five days starting on Monday (3/3). I'm crossing my fingers for the spot next to the window....

Danny: John and I as well as the entire family are upholding you in prayer. Our Lord will keep His arms around you through this whole process--You will come through this healthy, and just the wonderful young man you are. All our love to you, and Susan.

Dan, you don't know me. We've never met, but I'm an old friend of your mom's. She told me what you have been going through and about this blog. Judging from what you have written here, I would say you are a very intelligent young man with a gift for communication, particularly the written word. I am sorry that you have had to undergo these health issues at such a young age. I am encouraged by your upbeat attitude, and I am urging you to keep that up. Unpleasant and frightening though it is, your ordeal is shared by your entire family and your friends. You are never alone in this. It may be hard to fathom at the moment, but God does indeed love you tremendously and recognizes you as special to have given you this great test. Keep your wonderful hope, and have faith as you endure this. Let His love, and all of your family's as well, sustain and strengthen you in this time of struggle and suffering. You will be blessed immeasurably for keeping this in mind. I, and I am sure all who know you, offer up our thoughts and prayers for you each and every day. My very best wishes to you always, and keep up the fight!

Dan, it's Kari Villareal (Baldridge). Talked to your mom recently and she gave me your blog, I had to read as soon as I could. We want to send you all the good thoughts, prayers, and love we have to you, Susan, and your family. As I read what you've been through, your strength is so evident and inspiring. Best, Kari and Ruben Villareal
